Case study — Code Blue

South Florida's premier Explorer Competition.

The complete website and registrant portal for Code Blue — a national Law Enforcement Explorer competition run in conjunction with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office. I designed, built, and maintain all of it.

What I built

A full multi-page marketing site — home, about, competition details, scenarios, hotels, registration, schedule, resources, location, and contact.
A PIN-gated Senior Advisor Portal for accessing the live competition schedule.
The Code Blue logo and brand identity.
Responsive layouts, the registration flow, and contact forms across the site.
Ongoing maintenance, hosting, and updates as the event grows.

02 — About

Self-taught engineer, building for 6+ years.

I'm Aiden Chacon, a software engineer based in Palm Beach, Florida, with 6+ years of building behind me. I taught myself to code as a kid — scripting FiveM game servers — and never stopped. That early obsession is what turned into a craft.

Today I'm Lead Software Engineer at Code Blue Competition, where I built and maintain the entire website myself. I'm drawn to projects where I get to build the whole thing and own it — and keep owning it long after launch.

I build the modern way: strong HTML and CSS fundamentals with AI as my development partner. It lets me move fast and ship complete, polished work — and I stand behind and maintain every line of it.

No degree, no bootcamp, no roadmap handed to me — just the docs, relentless iteration, and a refusal to ship anything I'm not proud of.
